Bestevenn Limited was founded six years ago from what could have been an ending, but instead became a powerful new beginning.
After being made redundant at the age of 54, I decided to invest my redundancy into building something of my own—something that would allow me to spend my days alongside my beloved dogs, who have always been by my side at work. The business, a one stop shop for breeders and puppy families became grounded in resilience, integrity, and a genuine passion for doing things properly and honestly.

The name “Bestevenn” holds a special meaning to us. It comes from our Labrador breeding affix registered with the Kennel Club and translates from Norwegian as “best friend.” That idea sits at the very core of our ethos. Whether working with clients or partners, we believe in loyalty, trust, and relationships that stand the test of time. It’s not just about delivering a service; it’s about building connections that people can rely on.

Starting from scratch wasn’t without its challenges. Like any new venture, the business required hard work, long hours, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
